Fire restrictions imposed by multiple agencies in southeastern Utah

MOAB, Utah — Multiple agencies issued fire restrictions for southeastern Utah on Friday morning, citing hazardous conditions. All Bureau of Land Management, USDA Forest Service, National Park Service, State of Utah, and unincorporated private lands will implement these fire restrictions on June 2, 2022.

The agencies said some restrictions will vary by agency. But all of the agencies will restrict:

The agencies said these restrictions supersede any previous orders. Restrictions will be in place until the fire hazard passes.

The agencies will still allow the use of devices fueled by petroleum or liquid propane gas. These devices must have a shut-off valve, as long as they are in areas clear of flammable vegetation within three feet of the device.
