Jason Seybert, Chief Operating Officer of Weld RE-4, said that the school district received four applications to replace Seegmiller, who resigned after the failure of the $179 million bond measure after six years of superintendent and nearly 17 years of work in the school district. . The board chose to interview all four candidates.

According to the Atlanta Journal of Constitution, Dude was assigned paid administrative leave by the Decatur Board of Education in the spring. A week later, the board of directors terminated his contract after questioning Dude's business practices.

Decaturish.com is a media dedicated to providing news and information about Decatur and the rest of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The site reported on the separation of Dude from the area in a report on April 27. The story says that Dude left the school system after several months of investigating stories by Decaturish.com that reviewed allegations made by the former director of human resources in the area.

The story goes that Dude was criticized for being accused of taking more vacation than the contract allows. This statement was originally made in a lawsuit filed by former human resources director David Adams. Adams claimed that he and a former financial controller were kicked out of the area by Dude after asking when Dude was leaving the office. According to a Decaturish.com report, it was later discovered that Dude's latest contract made it more difficult and expensive for Decatur's board to fire him.

Earlier in the evening, the board of directors decided to revise and rebalance the boundaries of the education board of directors to balance the number of residents represented by each board member. The information and the new boundary will be posted on the school district’s website on Wednesday, and the school district will then begin to apply to replace Jennifer Lieber, the chairman of the board of directors.

Lieber announced her resignation four days later in Sigmiller. She represents District D, which is an area of Weld RE-4 that mainly serves residents living in northern Colorado. 392 includes Gander Valley Lane in the north, Hollister Lake Drive in the center of District D, Saratoga Way and Ash, Walnut and Oak Streets in the south.

Smith represents area A, Price represents area B, Nichols represents area C, and the chairman of the board of directors Smart represents area E.

According to the information on the Weld RE-4 website, Lieber's seat will be filled by appointment in early January. Applications will be made available at the regional office from December 1 to 16. The office is located at 1020 Main Street, Windsor, and is open from 8 am to 4 pm

Residents applying for a Lieber seat must live in Zone D.

Seybert said that before the board of directors approved the redistribution on Tuesday, there were 5,466 residents in District B, while the Director of District A was responsible for 11,275 residents.

Under the new boundary for the board of directors set by a company that provides planning information to the school district, the difference in the number of residents represented by each board member will be reduced. District A will be responsible for 8,289 residents, District B will be responsible for 8,283 residents, District C will be responsible for 8,228 residents, District D will be responsible for 8,434 residents, and District E will be responsible for 8,371 residents.

Before making a decision, the board listened to Scott Torlucci, senior project manager at Davis Demographics, and he attended the meeting by phone. Torlucci considered multiple boundary options for the board.
