Institut de Soudure Managing Director Abdelkrim Chehaibou and Multistation CEO Yannick Loisance signed a cooperation agreement on November 22 to develop metal additive manufacturing applications through laser metal deposition technology.

Multistation will provide the Welding Institute with the manufacturer Meltio's M450 machine, a 3D metal printer that uses wire and powder, and it turns out to be compact, ecological and economical. M450 can be used by industrial companies, Multistation customers, Institut de Soudure members, or other companies and organizations seeking to deepen their knowledge of DED technology. "We welcome this agreement, which will consolidate Meltio's position in the French market", Meltio CEO Angel Llavero confirmed. For Multistation and Meltio, the exclusive distributors of Meltio solutions in France, the agreement will help realize their common desire to build an ecosystem around DED technology in France.
"With the Meltio M450 machine provided by Multistation, our machine is very complementary to our existing resources in WAAM, arc additive manufacturing, which opens up possibilities for multiple applications, such as spare parts production.
